A September visit to the annual Victoria College Book Sale at the University of Toronto. Used books fill the historic rooms of Old Vic as readers browse beneath stained glass and Gothic architecture—a quiet photographic record of books, light, and everyday life in Toronto.

A day at Toronto’s Word on the Street festival. Between books, authors and readers were shadows, colours, passing figures and small visual accidents. Less a record of the festival than a collection of moments that caught my eye.

September at the Aberfoyle Antique Market. Stalls crammed with vintage items, signs, toys, books, and all sorts of collectibles. Perhaps due to the poor economy, there were far fewer people and shops, and the vendors seemed listless. Those objects bearing the marks of time, together with the people browsing the weekend market, formed a collection of fragments about vintage items, time, and memories of life.
